The Boulder Creek Business Association (BCBA) has been modifying its structure some so that it can better support the Boulder Creek community.  We've continued to bring our beloved annual events that both celebrate Boulder Creek's uniqueness and brings visitors to the area who then shop at your stores and eat at your restaurants.  We've established ties with all levels of government in order to work on large scale infrastructure projects that will benefit residents and businesses.  Some should help the overall economy by allowing for county approval of new businesses opening where there are currently vacancies.  This will bring new jobs and more vibrancy to the downtown core.  And we continue to build our relationships with other local organizations.  We are all stronger when we work together!

The BCBA began in the late 1960s with a group of local visionary merchants who wanted to clean up the downtown core and make the area more inviting to both residents and visitors. Nearly six decades later, we are continuing that effort and expanding it to include the community at large.  Part of that expansion is taking the steps to becoming a Main Street Affiliate with the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Affiliates have access to support systems that are designed to help towns like Boulder Creek thrive. Being a Main Street town and having the program succeed also means expanding the volunteer-based, grass roots movement. This movement welcomes members of the residential and business community to be a part of the completion of the projects as volunteers and donors as well as fundraising efforts that are necessary to preserve and enhance our town. It takes a village, right?  Can we count on you to join us?

As you're likely aware, Big Basin State Park is opening up more and more.  We are so thrilled to see that happening and the progress the planners have made there is outstanding!  It's estimated that 1-2 million people visit Big Basin each year.  The majority of those people go through Boulder Creek.  Our shops and restaurants in the downtown core need to be ready to cater to those folks as they drive through town.  We at the BCBA are finding more and more ways to make that possible.  We're working on bringing EV chargers to downtown, bringing high quality and reliable broadband service to all of Boulder Creek and on improving the waste water infrastructure.  And we're supporting the RTC in their plans to improve pedestrian safety along the highway.  All of this helps residents, businesses and visitors alike.

We need your help to make this happen!  Your memberships allow us to advertise for you which brings you business.  The money we receive from you also helps us provide the events and have the meetings necessary to work on the larger projects.  Every dollar we receive from you goes right back into benefits for the community.  So, in many ways, the more you support us with upgrading your membership to a sponsorship, or a sponsorship to a championship, the more we can put back into the community!

We hope you'll become a member or renew your existing membership.  Remember, your membership term will no longer be for the calendar year, but for the 12 months after we receive payment.  We hope, too, that you'll consider upgrading your support by becoming a Champion of Boulder Creek and the BCBA.
